The mural that is kept on the western end of the ground floor called ' Gajendra Moksha' is the largest mural in Kerala.
You could also make a tour to Pathiramanal. This is a small beautiful island in the Vembanad Lake. This island lies between Thaneermukkom and Kumarakom and is a favorite haunt of hundreds of rare migratory birds from different parts of the land. This island can be accessed by boat from Kumarakom or Muhamma.
On your trip to Champakulam, you could visit the St.Mary's Forane Church (Syrian) built in 1870. The St.Thomas Statuary near to the church makes wooden statues of Christ for export. There is no traffic other than the occasional cycle and canoes in this place.
